This work presents an overview of the most relevant rules and practices applicable to transnational trade transactions. The analysis is mainly based upon generally accepted principles as laid down in international conventions, as well as rules and practices elaborated under the auspices of governmental and non-governmental bodies, such as UNIDROIT, UNCTAD, UNCITRAL and ICC, CMI, FIATA and BIMCO. The most commonly used rules, conditions and documents are included in an appendix. The book is intended for use in practice worldwide as well as in schools of economics and law.
