This work provides students with a thorough knowledge and understanding of the law and practice involved in the preparation of wills and the in the administration of estates. The law sections include: requirements of a valid will; rules of intestacy; grants of representation; powers and duties of personal representatives; and provision for family and disputes.
Detailed attention is given to all taxation aspects of probate practice, including estate planning, taxation and settlements, and completion of inland revenue accounts. The practice sections include: advice on will drafting; drafting of oaths; professional conduct; and financial services.
