It is particularly designed for thoses students who do not spend a whole academic year on this subject. the emphasis is on those general concepts. such as passing of property and risk. which all students need to master. and on those problems. such as the sale of defective goods or of goods which do not belong to the seller. which are most important in practice. There is an analysis of the borderlines between sale of goods and allied contracts. such as hire purchase. hire. exchange and work and materials. the law of which is based on analogies drwn from sale of goods. of criminal liability and tortious liability. This third edition deals with new cases decided since 1995; with the Sale of Goods (Amendent) Act 1995 and with the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations 1999.
