Employment Equality Legislation extracts the Employment Equality Act 1998, which repealed and re-enacted with significant amendments, the Anti-Discrimination (Pay) Act 1974 and the Employment Equality Act 1977. As well as outlawing discrimination in the area of employment on nine separate grounds, the 1998 Act established the Equality Authority and the Office of the Director of Equality Investigations. The 1998 Act was substantially amended by the Equal Status Act 2000 and this paperback provides the complete text of the 1998 Act, as amended, together with a section-by-section analytical commentary, and the Regulations made thereunder.
