This is an introduction to the principles of criminal law as they apply in Ireland. All the relevant Irish cases and statutes are presented and explained. These are supported by authorities from other common law countries and are discussed in the context of the principle being explained.;Sexual offences, property offences, homicide, inchoate offences, offences against public order and against the person are among those considered in this book, together with the underlying theory of criminal law. Several hundred sample charges are provided, together with extracts from all relevant legislation, including that inherited by the State on independence in 1922.
