The authors consider contemporary international legal peacekeeping mechanisms, experience with recent United Nations peacekeeping operations, international legal aspects of determining the character of aggression with particular reference to the Donbas, and the distinctive features of the legal status and activity of such a peacekeeping mission were it to be introduced in the Donbas region of Ukraine.
