Jurisprudence is the theoretical basis of legal studies in most English speaking countries, yet this subject has ignored many of the major intellectual developments from other disciplines. ""Dangerous Supplements"" presents a fundamental challenge to jurisprudence as it is traditionally conceived. The contributors confront the subject with the new thinking developed by Marxism and feminism, postmodernism and deconstruction, linguistics, cultural studies, critical sociology and critiques of the New Right. The outcome of this confrontation has to be either a radical transformation of jurisprudence or, failing that, the abandonment of jurisprudence altogether.
