The Legal Aid Handbook 1998/99 is the official guide of the former Legal Aid Board to legal aid practice in England and Wales on matters begun under the Legal Aid Act 1988. It is an indispensable guide for those seeking or receiving legal aid, as well as for those opposing assisted persons.
This was the last edition of the Legal Aid Handbook in Paperback format. It evolved into the Legal Servics Commission Manual in 4 Looseleaf volumes, originally published by Sweet & Maxwell, and since 2004 by TSO.
