Understanding Public Law has been updated to keep up with the constant changes since the Labour government came into power in 1997. This edition reflects the reforms on the House of Lords, devolution, human rights and freedom of information.
It also considers the modernisation of institutions and procedures, such as the House of Commons, the civil service, local government, tribunals and inquiries, the Ombudsman system, judical review, the Bank of England, export licensing, and surveillance and interception of communications.
