Mary Joe Frug's work draws upon varieties of feminisms, postmodernisms and critical legal studies. examining, among others, the debates over pornography, prostitution, ""women's difference"" and deconstruction.;The author aims to chart a course for future feminist thinking about law, identifying the political and theoretical limitations of earlier strands of legal feminism and demonstrates, through analyses of legal doctrines, legal texts and legal strategies, why postmodern feminism offers more hope than these earlier versions of feminism for women in law.
