The Cumulative second Special Supplement was published in May 2013 to take account of ammendments made to the Civil Procedure Rules introduced by the Civil Procedure (Ammendment No.3) Rules 2013 (SI2013/789). It incorporates the changes intoduced by the Civil Procedure (Ammendment No.2) Rules 2013 (SI 2013/515) and CPR Update 61 published in the first Special Supplement as an Addendum.

The current Costs Rules continue to be valid for cases before 1 April 2013 and will remain in the 2013 Main Works (and CD and online) for the rest of this year so you can continue to access them.

The Civil Procedure (Amendment) Rules 2013 SI has now published, and the Practice Directions have been updated.

White Book print customers will receive a paperback Special Supplement and White Book eBook customers will receive a separate Special Supplement eBook. This will be included in the pack and will be ready on the day of publication in March 2013.

Then in May 2013 the Cumulative Special Supplement will update to include:-

• The Civil Procedure (Amendment No.3) Rules amend Table 6 in Rule 45.18 where the Stage I fixed costs are £200 rather than £400 and Stage 2 fixed costs are £300 rather than £800. This change came into force on April 30, 2013.
• This Supplement also includes the Recovery of Costs Insurance Premiums in Clinical Negligence Proceedings (No.2) Regulations 2013 (SI 2013/739) and updates brought into force by The Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012 (Consequential, Transitional and Saving Provisions) (Amendment) Regulations 2Q,l 3 (SI 2013/621) and The Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offender~ Act 2012 (Consequential, Transitional and Saving Provisions) Regulations 2013 (SI 2013/534).
• In addition, recent changes to the Chancery and the Admiralty and Commercial Court Guides are included.
