Session Cases are Scotland's official law reports. They are published under the auspices of the Scottish Council of Law Reporting comprising representatives from the Scottish judiciary, the Faculty of Advocates and the Law Society of Scotland. As Scotland's most authoritative series of law reports, Session Cases are accepted by the judiciary in preference to any other series. Comprising cases decided in the House of Lords, High Court of the Justiciary and the Court of Session. Session Cases report judgments in full and, where appropriate, will include excerpts from the written pleadings and arguments of counsel. With all cases reported under headnotes and rubrics emphasis is placed firmly on referencing, providing the user with a concise guide to the subject matter and a summary of the facts, the arguments and the grounds of decision.
