The UNCITRAL Model Law on International Commercial Arbitration, introduced into Scotland by the Law Reform (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Scotland) Act 1990, came into effect on 1 January, 1991. Fraser Davidson's book provides an analysis of the provisions of the model law and explains the model law's relationship to and interaction with the Scots law of arbitration. The book is an indispensable guide for all Scots needing to understand the model law and for non-Scots considering Scotland as a forum for international commercial arbitration.
