The Family Procedure Rules 2010:-
- Will apply to all family proceedings in the High Court, County Courts and Magistrates' Court
- Has updated terminology
- Procedures have been streamlined and updated where appropriate
- Most of the general provisions have been harmonised with the Civil Procedure Rules, with appropriate modifications
- The provision of EU Regulations and other international instruments have been fully reflected
- Appeal procedures have been harmonised across all levels of court and modelled on Civil Procedure Rules
