This is a review of the tribunal system in England and Wales. The aim of which is to recommend changes to the way in which the tribunal system is run. Its main objectives are: to make the 70 different tribunals into a more cohesive tribunal system; to make the tribunals independent of their sponsoring departments; to improve training of staff within the tribunals service; and to enable users of the tribunals to participate effectively and without apprehension.
