The Journal of Eurasian Law (JEL) (formerly the Journal of East European Law) is a law review devoted to the study of legal changes in Russia and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. This name change reflects the changes that have resulted with the dissolution of the Soviet Union and the realities of present day Europe.

The journal publishes articles, notes, comments, and book reviews dealing with topical issues of Russia and Eastern European Law. Its authors and academic advisors include eminent American and international scholars. The journal benefits from cooperation with legal scholars in Russia and other countries of the region.

Additionally, the journal is responsive to the needs of legal practitioners and businessmen investing in Russia and Eastern Europe. Most contributions in this area are written by leading practitioners in the field who share with JEL’s readers their experience and knowledge.

The Journal of Eurasian Law is the only law review published in the United States which concentrates exclusively on the evolution of the Russian and East European legal systems. The journal has a worldwide circulation and has established a formidable presence in the world of legal scholarship and practice.
